Preparation

  • Ensure your watermelon chunks have been frozen for at least four hours.

Blending

  • In a high-speed blender, combine the frozen watermelon chunks and lime juice. If using honey or maple syrup, add it now.
  • Blend on low for 15-20 seconds, then increase to high for 30-60 seconds until smooth.
  • Check for a creamy consistency; blend longer if it's still chunky.

Serving

  • Taste the sorbet and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or syrup, then blend again.
  • Serve immediately for a soft texture or freeze in an airtight container for a firmer sorbet.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Let sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving for easier scooping. Customize with mint, berries, or coconut milk.
