Ingredients
  

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup raw cashews (soaked) Soak for 2-3 hours or overnight for the best results.
  • 1/2 cup water Adjust thickness as needed.
  • 1/2 large lemon (juiced) Optional for brightness.
  • 1 large clove garlic Freshly minced or roasted for a softer flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast Provides cheesy flavor without dairy.
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha chili sauce Adjust to taste for spice level.

Preparation

  • Gather all your soaked ingredients. Drain and rinse the cashews.

Blending

  • Place all ingredients into a small blender and pulse until creamy.
  • If using a standard blender, scrape down the sides halfway through for even blending.

Taste Test

  • Taste the sauce and add more Sriracha if you desire more heat.

Adjust Consistency

  • If mixture is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time.

Final Touch

  • Blend until super smooth and creamy. You should have about 2/3 cup of sauce.

Storage

  • Pour into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to six days.

Notes

Store in the fridge for up to 6 days or freeze in ice cube trays for longer storage. Can be prepared a day in advance.
