Preparation

  • Season both sides of the pork chops generously with salt and pepper.
  • Bring the pork chops to room temperature before cooking for even cooking.

Cooking the Pork Chops

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the pork chops for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Gravy

  • In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes until caramelized.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce; let the sauce simmer to thicken slightly.
  • Return the pork chops to the skillet, ensuring they are nestled in the gravy.
  • Let them simmer together for a few more minutes to absorb the flavors.

Serving

  • Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top and plate up the dish.
  • Serve with creamy mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or almond cream.
