For the Cocktail

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt Flaky sea salt works best for that coveted crunch.

  • 2 ounces caramel vodka Brands like Smirnoff or Van Gogh are recommended.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Set out two small plates. Pour the caramel sauce onto one plate and the kosher salt onto the second.
  • Carefully roll the edge of a martini glass into the caramel sauce, coating just the rim.
  • Dip the caramel-coated rim into the salt and set aside to let it set while you prepare the drink.

Mixing the Cocktail

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Pour in the apple cider and caramel vodka.
  • Shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds until well-chilled.

Serving

  • Strain the contents of the shaker into your prepared martini glass.
  • For garnish, drizzle a bit of caramel sauce inside the glass or on top of the drink.
  • Sip slowly and savor every delightful drop.

Notes

Make the cocktail fresh for best taste. Prepare the glass a few hours in advance if needed. Can substitute flavored sparkling water and apple juice for a non-alcoholic version.
