  • 1/2 cup lemon juice (about 2 large, juicy lemons) Use organic for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Use organic or raw for a richer flavor.
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries Fresh raspberries can also be used.
  • 1/2 cup water Filtered water is best.
  • 3 cups ice cubes Make sure they are freshly made.
  • lemon slices (for garnish) Add for a decorative touch.
  • frozen raspberries (for garnish) Add a few on top for presentation.

Preparation

  • In a blender, add 1/2 cup of lemon juice, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries, and 1/2 cup of water. Blend on high until smooth (about 2 minutes).
  • Once combined, add 3 cups of ice cubes. Continue blending until the texture is slushy and smooth. If too thick, add a splash more water.
  • Pour the slushy into glasses and garnish with fresh lemon slices and a few frozen raspberries on top.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture, enjoying the refreshing sounds of summer!

Notes

Freeze extra lemon juice in ice cube trays for future use. If leftovers are stored, re-blend before serving. Can be prepared a day ahead without the ice.
