  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Can substitute with half-and-half for a lighter option.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Opt for extra virgin for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can also be used.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Basic seasoning for enhanced flavor.

Preparation

  • Let pork chops sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before cooking for more even cooking.
  • Ensure your cream is at room temperature to prevent curdling.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat until hot, but not smoking.
  • Generously season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until beautifully browned.
  • Remove the pork chops and set them aside on a plate.
  • In the same skillet, add the diced potatoes and cook until lightly browned, about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning over the potatoes, then pour in the heavy cream, stirring until well combined.
  • Return the pork chops to the skillet, nestling them among the potatoes.
  • Cover the skillet and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the pork is cooked through and potatoes are fork-tender.
  • Sprinkle fresh parsley on top before serving hot.

Notes

Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze for optimal texture.
