Ingredients

Granola Base

  • 2 cups rolled oats Look for gluten-free oats if you have dietary restrictions.
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Use a natural, creamy unsweetened peanut butter for the best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Choose honey for a classic flavor or maple syrup for a unique sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts) A mixture of nuts works wonderfully.
  • 1/2 cup seeds (e.g., sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds) Feel free to experiment with chia or flax seeds.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Adds a warm, cozy element.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Enhances all the flavors.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the oats, your choice of nuts, seeds, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup) until melted and smooth.
  • Pour the peanut butter mixture over the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly until everything is well coated.
  • Spread the mixture evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for about 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through to promote even browning. Keep an eye on it; the granola should be golden brown but not burnt.
  • Let it cool completely on the baking sheet.
  • Once cooled, break it into clusters and store it in an airtight container.

Notes

Don't skip the cooling step for texture and crunch. Store in a cool, dry place for maximum freshness.
