Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until combined.
  • In another bowl, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just blended.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly incorporated.
  • Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop dough balls onto prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10 - 12 minutes, watching for set edges and soft centers.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. The dough can be prepared ahead and refrigerated for up to 48 hours.
