Preparation

  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat until completely melted and bubbly.
  • Add corn syrup and mini marshmallows to the saucepan, stirring continuously until melted and smooth (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and promptly stir in powdered sugar until there are no lumps.
  • Divide the mixture into bowls, adding food coloring to each until desired pastel colors are achieved.
  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then shape into egg shapes with your hands.
  • Let the shaped eggs set at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  • Optionally, melt chocolate and dip eggs in it, letting excess drip off.
  • Sprinkle with decorations before chocolate sets.
  • Cool completely on parchment paper.
