  • 1 cup chopped pecans Lightly toasted for extra flavor or substitute with walnuts or almonds.
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder Use high-quality unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • 1/2 cup Fireball whiskey Ensure it's at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar For rolling the whiskey balls.

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed vanilla wafers, chopped pecans, and cocoa powder. Mix thoroughly.
  • Pour in the Fireball whiskey and mix until everything binds together.
  • Form small balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter, using your hands.
  • Roll each ball in powdered sugar for a sweet coating.
  • Place the whiskey balls on a lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm them up.
  • Serve chilled or package them as thoughtful gifts.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months. Enhances in flavor when chilled overnight.
