Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts Use high-quality chicken for the best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder Adjust based on your preference.

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil Helps sear the chicken beautifully.

For the Sauce and Broth

  • 3 cups chicken broth Use low-sodium for better control over seasoning.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce For that umami kick!
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil Enhances the flavor significantly.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Because who doesn’t love garlic!
  • ¼ cup heavy cream Creates that rich, indulgent sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon butter Adds an extra layer of richness.

For the Noodles and Garnish

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (fresh or dried) Use your favorite brand; fresh noodles provide the best texture.
  • 1 piece green onion, chopped A fresh touch to finish it off.
  • 1 teaspoon chili oil (optional) For an added heat boost!

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the chicken thighs with chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken and sear until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side, until the chicken is cooked through (165°F internal temperature). Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté 2 cloves of minced garlic in butter over medium-low heat until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

Make the Broth

  • In another pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat, add the remaining minced garlic, and sauté for about 1 minute.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and soy sauce, boiling briefly. Reduce heat and whisk in the heavy cream. Let simmer for about 5 minutes.

Assembly

  • Place a serving of ramen noodles into bowls, pour the creamy garlic broth over the noodles, and top with sliced chicken.
  • Finish with chili oil (if desired) and a sprinkle of green onions.

Notes

Make it ahead: Prep the chicken and sauce a day in advance. Store separately in the fridge. Store leftover broth in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. If your sauce is too thick, whisk in a bit more chicken broth.
