Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts Choose organic, free-range chicken for the best flavor.
  • 2 servings fresh ramen noodles Fresh noodles will give you that perfect non-soggy texture.
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced Fresh garlic offers a pungent, sweet flavor that’s essential for the sauce.
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth Opt for a quality brand for the most rich and comforting base.
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce Adjust brand according to preference; Kikkoman is recommended.
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes Adjust to taste for desired spice level.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter version, substitute with coconut milk.
  • 2 pieces green onions, sliced Fresh garnish adds an aromatic touch.
  • to taste cilantro (optional) A sprinkle adds a refreshing contrast.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all Ingredients: For a smooth cooking process, set your ingredients out on the countertop.
  • Cook the Chicken: In a large pan over medium heat, add a splash of oil. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. If you're uncertain of doneness, a meat thermometer should read 165°F. Remove from the pan and let rest.
  • Sauté Garlic: In the same pan, reduce the heat to medium-low and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant, making sure not to burn it.
  • Make the Broth Base: Pour in the chicken broth and soy sauce, scraping any brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Cook the Noodles: Bring the mixture to a simmer, then add the ramen noodles. Cook per package instructions, usually about 4-5 minutes, until tender but not mushy.
  • Create Creaminess: Lower the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and red pepper flakes. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary!
  • Slice and Serve: Slice the rested chicken into strips and serve it over the creamy noodles. Garnish with green onions and cilantro if desired for extra flavor.

Notes

To avoid sticky noodles, remember to separate them once they’re cooked. For the best flavor, serve fresh! Leftovers can diminish the creaminess.
