Easy Cannoli Cups

Ingredients
  

  • 12 wonton wrappers or pre-made phyllo shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese (drained)
  • ½ cup mascarpone cheese
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Chopped pistachios, orange zest, or candied cherries for garnish Optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Cups:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    Spray a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
    Press wonton wrappers into the muffin tin, shaping them into cups.
    Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and let cool.
  • Make the Filling:
    In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix until smooth and creamy.
    Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  • Assemble the Cannoli Cups:
    Once the wonton cups have cooled, spoon or pipe the filling into each cup.
    Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with pistachios, orange zest, or cherries if desired.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
    Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to eat.

Notes

For the crispiest cups, assemble just before serving to prevent sogginess.
