  • 1 cup spinach, fresh For a nutritious boost.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil A healthy fat for sautéing.
  • Grated parmesan cheese (optional) For serving, adds a delightful finish.

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and bell pepper; sauté until soft (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Add minced garlic and cook for another minute, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
  • Add the sausage, breaking it into pieces, and cook until browned and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes).
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine all the ingredients evenly.
  • Add spinach, stirring until wilted (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot, optionally topped with grated parmesan cheese.

Notes

Storage: Leftovers keep well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to prevent the sauce from curdling.
