Base Ingredients
- 2 cups (500ml) water
- 2 black tea bags (or 2 tsp loose-leaf black tea)
- 1 cup (250ml) whole milk (or a milk alternative like almond or oat milk)
- 1 cinnamon stick (or 1 tsp ground cinnamon)
- 3 tbsp sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
Optional Additions
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of nutmeg for extra warmth
Boil Water:In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil. Add the cinnamon stick and simmer for 5 minutes to infuse the water with cinnamon flavor. Brew the Tea:Add the black tea bags to the cinnamon-infused water. Let steep for 3–4 minutes, depending on your desired tea strength. Add Milk:Stir in the milk and sugar or honey. Heat the mixture over low heat, ensuring it doesn’t boil, to create a creamy texture. Strain and Serve:Remove the tea bags and cinnamon stick. Strain the tea into cups if using loose-leaf tea. Optional Garnish:Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg on top for a decorative touch.
- Adjust the sweetness to your liking.
- For a frothy texture, whisk the milk or use a milk frother before adding it to the tea.
