Ingredients
  

For the Brownies

  • 1 box box of brownie mix (Ghirardelli recommended) Be sure to follow the box instructions for required water, oil, and eggs.
  • to taste Water, oil, and eggs as required by the brownie mix Use room temperature eggs for fluffiness.

For Dipping

  • 1 cup chocolate for dipping (Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips preferred) Quality chocolate greatly enhances the flavor.
  • to taste Sprinkles (optional) Choose colors that fit the occasion.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven according to the brownie mix instructions (usually 350°F or 180°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, prepare the brownie mix following the box instructions using the required water, oil, and eggs. Mix until just combined.
  • Pour the brownie batter into a heart-shaped mold, filling it about 2/3 full.

Baking

  • Bake according to the box instructions, typically for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before removing.

Dipping

  • Melt the chosen chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Once cool, dip each brownie into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • If desired, add sprinkles immediately after dipping while the chocolate is still wet.
  • Allow the chocolate to set, placing in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes if needed.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or in the fridge for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months. Feel free to customize with nuts or jams.
