  • 1 package Oreo cookies Any variety you love, preferably the original for the classic taste.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (dark or milk) Ghirardelli or semi-sweet chocolate chips are recommended.

For Decoration

  • as needed Sprinkles Optional for decoration; choose colorful ones for birthdays or red and pink for Valentine's Day.

Preparation

  • Melt your chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth (about 1.5-2 minutes total).
  • Take an Oreo and dip it into the warm chocolate, using a fork to ensure full coating. Shake off excess chocolate before placing it on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle your decorations on top.
  • Allow cookies to set at room temperature or in the fridge for 10-15 minutes, until firm.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze separated in layers of parchment paper for 2-3 months. Flourless variations can be made with different types of chocolate.
