  • 4 pieces chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese Use high-quality deli cheese for the best flavor
  • 4 slices ham Smoked or honey ham works beautifully
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs For an unbeatable crunch
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs Preferably free-range
  • 1/4 cup milk Whole milk will enhance richness
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Smoked paprika for a nice kick
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Oil for frying Vegetable or canola works well

Optional Sauce

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For a luscious drizzling sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard For a zesty twist

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place each chicken breast between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to about 1/2 inch thickness.
  • Season each chicken breast generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Lay a slice of ham followed by a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast, then roll them up and secure with toothpicks.
  • Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs mixed with milk, and Panko breadcrumbs.
  • Dredge each chicken roll in flour, dip them in the egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the chicken rolls for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
  • For the optional sauce, mix cream and Dijon mustard in a small saucepan over low heat until warmed through.
  • Slice the chicken rolls into pinwheels, drizzle with sauce, and serve.

Notes

Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes after baking for juicier results. Leftover Chicken Blue Ribbon can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Ideal for a special occasion or family gathering.
