  • 1 can Crescent Roll Dough Look for a high-quality brand like Pillsbury for the best results.
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese, Softened Use full-fat cream cheese for a creamy filling. Leave out for about 30 minutes to soften.
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar Use a quality powdered sugar for sweetness; can be made by blending granulated sugar.
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract Use pure vanilla extract for better flavor.
  • to taste Green Sugar or Icing for Decoration Green sanding sugar or homemade icing can be used.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it carefully, separating it into individual triangles.
  • Place about a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture at the wider end of each triangle.
  • Roll the dough from the wide end to the point, gently shaping it to resemble a carrot.
  • Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Once cooled, decorate with green sugar or icing.
  • Serve warm, alongside fresh fruit or a light spring salad.

Notes

Store uneaten rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week. For make-ahead, refrigerate unbaked rolls and let sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before baking.
