  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Make the Batter: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the melted butter and milk, stirring until smooth.
Assemble the Cobbler: Pour the batter evenly over the apples, spreading it gently with a spatula.

Serve: Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

  • Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for a balanced flavor.
  • For a crispier topping, sprinkle a little sugar on top before baking.
