  • 2 ounces light rum Light rum allows the flavors to shine.
  • 2 ounces apple cider Select high-quality, preferably organic apple cider.
  • Crushed ice Use large ice cubes for the best texture.
  • Club soda To top the drink and add fizz.
  • Apples, sliced for garnish Choose crisp varieties like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith.
  • Mint leaves, for garnish Fresh sprigs elevate the drink's presentation.

Preparation

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and simple syrup. Muddle gently for 20-30 seconds.
  • Add lime juice, light rum, and apple cider into the shaker. Fill with crushed ice almost to the top.
  • Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  • Prepare 2 highball glasses filled with more crushed ice.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses, leaving behind any large mint pieces.
  • Top each drink with club soda to your preference and garnish with sliced apples and fresh mint leaves.

Notes

Chill your glasses in the freezer for an extra refreshing experience. Store any leftovers (without club soda) in the fridge for up to 1 day.
