Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds country style pork ribs Choose a cut with good marbling for tenderness.
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika A great brand is McCormick.
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground black pepper makes a noticeable difference.
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Homemade or store-bought; Sweet Baby Ray’s is recommended.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Let your ribs come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking for even cooking.
  • In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and generously sprinkle the seasoning mix over the ribs, rubbing it into all sides.

Cooking

  • Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray and preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Using tongs, carefully place the ribs in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 20 minutes, turning halfway through.
  • Brush on a generous layer of barbecue sauce and cook for an additional 2 minutes to caramelize the sauce slightly.
  • Using a meat thermometer, check that the internal temperature has reached 145°F (63°C).
  • Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes

For crunchier texture, cook the ribs for a few extra minutes if needed. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
