Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Rub each fillet with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Sear the Salmon: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Combine and Serve: Return the salmon to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the fillets. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the Cajun seasoning to taste.
  • For a thicker sauce, let it simmer longer.
