- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Prepare the Chicken: Season chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.
Sear: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, and Parmesan. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over. Cover and cook for another 10 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with your choice of sides.
- Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter option.
- Add a splash of white wine for extra depth of flavor.
